Jacob has recently concluded work on The Blanco book, a nonfiction book that documents the history, people and recent flood of the Blanco River, located in the Texas Hill Country. Jacob is co-author of Running the River: Secrets of the Sabine, a nonfiction book that chronicles a 500-mile journey from the headwaters of the Sabine River to its end at the Gulf of Mexico. While working as a photojournalist for the Longview News Journal, Jacob received the Texas Associated Press Managing Editor’s First Place Award for “Faith in Texas” a photographic essay that examined religious faith in East Texas. Jacob’s work has been published in Black and White magazine. He has held adjunct appointments at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and Tulane University in New Orleans.
